What it was.
Pre was built around a simple product bet: startup software should do more than report on work. It should connect to the systems a company already runs on and help carry work forward.
I worked on the core technology behind that product in a product engineering capacity, including the agent harness, many evals, and the logic needed to support multi-step workflows instead of stopping at chat.
The product let founders connect tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Linear, GitHub, PostHog, Supabase, Stripe, and more so the agent could operate on real company context.
That made it possible to support tasks like weekly investor updates and other cross-tool founder workflows where memory, orchestration, and reliable action mattered more than a clever demo.
I shipped core product technology for an agentic cofounder at a YC company, including the harness and eval infrastructure that made the product operational, reliable, and observable.
