360° Panorama Capture

Unity tool for high-fidelity 360 capture, featured by Google VR and used by thousands of developers.

What it was.

I created this to solve a practical distribution problem for VR creators: immersive worlds were worth showing, but high-quality capture was still awkward, technical, or expensive.

I led the product direction and hired a contractor to develop the Unity capture pipeline that made high-fidelity 360 output accessible without requiring specialized graphics knowledge from every team.

That mattered because better capture was not just about image quality. It improved speed, trust, and shareability for creators trying to circulate immersive work.

Over time it became open-source infrastructure for a real part of the XR ecosystem rather than a one-off experiment.

360° Panorama Capture was featured on Google VR developer pages, released as open source, and used by thousands of developers to create images and videos seen billions of times.
